SALUS: Enhancing Safety with Advanced Search and Lock Up System

2. To provide defined instruction to ensure safe operation and condition
3. To provide appropriate and proportional audible and visual signals.
4. To provide LIVE information on the status of the safety network

A Search & Lockup System (SALUS), is a system which ensures that the operator must physically search a Zone where a hazardous operation takes place.
This system uses a programmable controller to allow the safe series connection and monitoring of multiple safety devices to achieve the highest level of safety.
The SALUS system works by disabling the safety system reset command until all applicable zones have been searched.
Can also be configured to include equipment such as conveyors, manipulators etc

On completion of the prescribed safety sequence the system will allow the operator to reset all subsystems and enable safe working
The search sequence is achieved by using multiple reset stations, strategically placed to guide the opertor through the safety sequence required within the alloted time, This is achieved using both audible and visual signals.
Optional HMI stations provide the operator with full status and diagnostic information. Smart diagnostics allow the system to detect and indicate fault conditions and components

OPERATOR INSERTS AND TURNS ENABLE KEY IN KEY EXCHANGE AND REMOVES DOOR KEY.
OPERATOR OPENS DOOR AND ENTERS ROOM.
OPERATOR PRESSES SALUS RESET PUSHBUTTONS IN NUMBER ORDER (1
TO 3) AND LEAVES ROOM THEN PRESSES SALUS RESET PUSHBUTTON
NUMBER 4.
OPERATOR LOCKS DOOR AND INSERTS KEY INTO KEY EXCHANGE AND
REMOVES ENABLE KEY.
PROVIDED THE SALS PUSHBUTTONS WERE PRESSED IN ORDER WITHIN ALLOTED TIME AND THE DOOR SWITCH IS HEALTHY THEN SALUS IS COMPLETE.
USE ENABLE KEY AT MAIN CONTROL PANEL TO ENABLE RESET OF INTERLOCKS.
